“Common sense is the genius of humanity”

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, "Common sense is the genius of humanity”, common sense you can find in the books of William Engdahl. Mr. F. William Engdahl is an award-winning geopolitical analyst, strategic risk consultant, author, professor and lecturer. His books have been translated into 14 languages. He was born in Minnesota, grew up in Texas. I had the honor to interview with him and my advice is - find and read one of the amazing books about Monsanto and GMO's " Seeds of destruction ” as soon as possible.

Which current events may be of global significance and why?

Obviously the stupidity of pollicymakers in Washington and NATO to think waging war against Syria as well as Russia can bring anything positive for the world or for them.

Your book „Seeds of destruction“ is one of the best books about GMOs. You are very direct and well-equipped with arguments and facts. How much time did you need to investigate everything and create such a great book?

I had worked on agribusiness issues since the 1980s and research for seeds built on that knowledge but the direct GMO research took about 7-8 intense months.

We could talk for days about Monsanto, but why is there no democracy? Why the voice of the people is not appreciated when it comes to GM food? It is not humanely to serve the people a TROJAN ON THE PLATE and they can not choose.

It was an undemocratic mandate from then US President George Bush Sr and Monsanto that absolutely NO independent US government tests of health and safety of GMO seeds was needed, no labeling either. That was in my view a criminal decision that has negatively impacted the lives of hundreds of millions of innocent people.

The most shocking part for you of "Seeds of destruction"?

The deliberate development of anti-spermicidal corn by Epicyte with support of the US Government meant to kill human sperm.

Can you tell to our readers what CAFOs are, and how they helped the pharmaceutical companies?

CAFOs are Concentreted Animal Feeding Operations - thousands of baby chicks or pigs or cows are enclosed in tiny spaces with no room to move, are fed GMO corn or soy and pumped up with antibiotics because that makes them grow fat faster to maximize profit. We eat the antibiotics. Animals are the far largest US consumer of pharmaceuticals.

Impact of WTO, WHO, FAO, World Bank, EPA, USAID, IMF on the present activity of Monsanto, DuPont, Dow?

The WTO is not democratic and its rules on GMO were written by the GMO and agribusiness industry itself to favor them. WHO is run by Big Pharma cartel companies through the scientific experts committee; USAID gives food aid in form of GMO corn and soybeans without labeling so.

Professor of Biology at the University of Texas at Austin Eric R. Pianka said: “I do not bear any ill will toward people. However, I am convinced that the world, including all humanity, WOULD clearly be much better off without so many of us.” This is just one of shocking quotes about population. On one side we have depopulation, GM food and on the other side we have Millennium Development Goals. What is the point of MDGs, in your opinion ?

MDG is yet another scheme of the globalization crowd, major multinationals, who want to reduce population with nice-sounding words like “sustainable” agriculture policies.

How much can NGOs change?

The issue of NGOs is complex but in my view, through groups like Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace, have done some positive work telling the scary truth about GMOs. Many NGOs are subject to donor pressure and remain silent. Grassroots initiatives are more effective than NGOs in my view.

When it comes to awareness and knowledge we have some professors and medias who are ” sold”, and we get people who are not aware, and students who are learning wrong. How can people function in such conditions?

It's hard. Internet research is important. This is also why I wrote Seeds of Destruction.

How can people eat safe if they must choose between hunger and the offered GM food?

They cannot. But the purpose behind GMO is to kill off billions of people.

For some, this story can seem paranoid, pessimistic...but actually it is the reality. Do you think it is possible to eradicate the seeds of destruction?

Most definitely. Monsanto and company are very much on the defensive. France has disallowed one of the only GMO plants licensed by the EU. In China there is a heated debate against the government attempt to introduce GMO. Russia too.

Where is the connection between the food crisis, economic crisis, depopulation and GM food, and is there any connection between McDonalds, Coca Cola and Monsanto or Dow?

The same banks responsible for the global economic crisis own the stock of Monsanto etc. Their schemes like biodiesel created the food crisis around 2008. The wealthiest families like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, George Soros all favor reduced population according to press reports and their actions. Buffett is major owner of CocaCola which pushes deadly aspartame in its sweeteners. McDonalds uses GMO in its hamburgers (GMO soy up to 30% of a meat patty in McDonalds I was told).

Who donates GM food to the developing countries?

USAID and USDA both of which support population reduction.

Which are the biggest challenges for today's youth and which for you?

The biggest challenge youth today face is the flight from taking personal responsibility for their lives, to be passive, disassociated via video games, tweets, social media that they lose the basic human contact with others. My biggest challenge is being able to communicate my passion for life and for better life to the world.

If you could ask yourself one question and answer it now, what would that be?

How to do just that. I suppose I have to answer, as I am doing now but ever more effectively. That is my true life journey.
