Life Science Network gGmbH is announcing the launch of a new career portal for scientists and engineers in academia and industry called Science HR. It features a free posting option, automated import of jobs in case of institutional subscriptions and premium accounts. A discount code is available for a year long premium subscription to all Life Science Network members for a limited period of time.
It has been a while since our last announcement. In March we announced new features related to the Events module of Life Science Network (LSN) and many other changes. Today we are announcing changes related to the Jobs module at LSN and the launch of a new career portal.
Science Human Resources
Life Science Network has multiple modules and over time some of them gained more traction than the others. For example, we observed that the Jobs module started dominating the platform in terms of traffic. Of course, we were happy to see many jobs posted on the platform, but given the fact that life sciences are a small niche, we began contemplating spinning the Jobs module off into a new and independent application.
As we were lucky to obtain the science.hr domain, we decided to call the platform Science Human Resources, or Science HR.
The development wasn't long and the initial version was online already in May this year. We would now like to invite everyone interested in either sharing their job postings, or those looking for a new job, to join Science HR.
Key features
Science HR is conceptually similar to LSN. Jobs can be uploaded manually, or imported automatically. There is a free posting option available. But since the two applications share some resources, it is now enough to upload a job at one platform and in case of Standard job posting, the job will be featured on the other platform as well.
Job seekers can view the jobs and define their interests so that only those jobs matching their interest end up in their stream of content.
Other features known from the Life Science Network platform are also available. In addition, it is important to state that you can sign in at Science HR using your LSN credentials.
Institutional partnerships
Science HR offers institutions the possibility to share all their jobs on the platform automatically. This may, but doesn't have to be, associated with fees. There are various options institutions can engage with to be represented at Science HR. If you are interested in these options, please contact us at [email protected].
Premium accounts
Finally, it is important to note that some jobs at Science HR are available only to premium members. This applies to those jobs which are not manually uploaded by employers, but by our staff, or jobs we import into our database without financial or other involvement of the institutions whose jobs we are featuring.
To subscribe for a premium account, members have several options. They can pay a small fee, or use a discount code. Discount codes are given to institutions to be distributed to their employees and students for a certain period of time, if the institutions are interested in a partnership with us.
All Life Science Network members are now invited to create a free premium account using the following discount code: LSN_SHR_LAUNCH16. This code will remain valid for a limited period of time. After that, please engage with your institution to obtain a valid discount code (if available), or pursue other alternatives described in the premium accounts section at Science HR.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at Science HR!
