International summer science camp in Croatia opened applications for students!
Again this year, for 20 summer days, Pozega will become Croatian science center for young science enthusiasts. Gymnasium Pozega will host Summer School of Science (http://drustvo-evo.hr/s3/), international summer science camp. The goal of the School is to provide students with hands-on scientific experience they cannot get in regular school education, to give them role models and promote international and intercultural understanding. Participation in the school gives talented high school students unique opportunity to explore scientific ideas within the group of peers, mentors and renowned scientists.
The School now has an alumni population of over 250 students from more than 20 countries and has trained a number of volunteer mentors and collaborators from top scientific institutions around the world. It is supported by Open Society Foundations, Google RISE Award, Croatian government and European Union FP7 grants, among others.
The applications for students are now open until May 1st 2015.
It is possible to apply for one of two camps:
1) S3 (age 15-16) July 16th – July 24th 2015
2) S3++ (age 17-18) July 25th – August 04th 2015
