Life Science Network redesign

Announcement Created on 17 Mar 2022 by Alen Piljić

We plan to launch a new and redesigned version of Life Science Network in March 2022.

We launched the Life Science Network platform back in 2013. While we worked on the platform features and performance over the years, the original design remained unchanged. Now, we are releasing a complete redesign of the platform.

One of the most important reasons for this step is that the original design was not responsive and the experience when using the application on mobile devices was suboptimal. The redesigned platform is responsive and should offer a much better experience when used on different-sized screens.

In terms of features, only a few things will change. Most importantly, the publication, preprint and institution ratings can now be submitted in only one category (as opposed to the three categories we had before). We removed the module overview pages. We now display members who recommended the content, instead of those who bookmarked it, on the publication page, event page and other pages. There are also other changes we will address in the future.

Content sharing conditions and prices, for example, job ad prices, remain unchanged.

We will polish the design and continue improving the features and the application performance in the following months.
