A new feature has just been launched that aims to help Life Science Network members get hired.

Jobs has always been one of the most important modules at Life Science Network. It was also one of the earliest modules we developed. Initially we focused on creating a better experience for hiring managers and recruiters. Instead of just giving recruiters the option of uploading job posts, we also developed a recruiting system, to make the hiring process more efficient.

Now we focus on the members of our network who are actively looking for a new job. We created a list called Talent Pool where LSN members looking for new opportunities are shown. The list is open and easily accessible by hiring managers. They can browse through the candidate profiles, or use the search function to see if a search term appears anywhere in the information provided by the candidate.

To join the talent pool, the candidate should select the Talent pool option in the Account settings or click the Talent Pool button in Personal information section of their profile. Of course, before doing that, the candidates are advised to update their profile and list all their positions, education, skills, interests and fill the other profile sections. The publications should be imported or manually uploaded to allow the recruiters to check them easily. A complete profile should increase the candidate's chance of being discovered.

We hope this feature will help hiring managers find best talent and our members land the best possible jobs.

The Talent Pool can be accessed by clicking the JOBS link in the top menu followed by Talent Pool in the menu on the left-hand side.
