Additional information

I had been part of the BAME Staff Network at my trust for over three years.
The aim of the network was to provide a forum to deliver leadership and a strong collaborative voice for BAME staff, patients, service users, carers and members of the BAME communities. In addition, to providing support and encouragement the network also engages collaboratively with internal and external staff network, trade unions and other associations. As a committed member of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) network, I worked ardently to help address racial discrimination and structural inequality in the NHS. In September 2020, I successfully organised and designed leaflets, and launched our first event about “Organ Donation” for the Network. As a result, I was honoured to receive a GREATIX award. This built my confidence in delivering clear and concise information in a
professional manner whilst, developing leadership skills to coordinate the event.
