When you mention brain capacity, you probably think of memory, learning, intelligence etc. Those are depending on genetic factors on one side and on environmental factors on the other side. I am not sure what portion of, say intelligence, is heritable. This number is still unknown/debatable. Same is also true for the genes that are involved, some are known, others not.
This is not my field... if some neuroscientist/geneticist stumbles upon this, maybe they can elaborate a bit and bring us up to date.
