Einstein's theory of gravitational spacewarp

Theoretical question Created on 26 Sep 2013

Details

So when I look at Einstein's theory that gravity warps space instead of pulling mass, my question is how does that explain gravity speeding up objects by 9.8m per second per second, if it is simply warping its direction then wouldn't that mean it does not gain speed? And if that's a fatal flaw and Newton was right then what about gravity bending lights direction that has 0 mass to be pulled on?
