Life Science Network gGmbH is a non-profit enterprise dedicated to advancing life sciences and supporting research. Our mission is to promote transparency, openness and fairness in science, and stimulate scientific progress by providing scientists with innovative web-based tools and solutions.

We are currently developing Life Science Network (LSN). The goal of the project is to create a scientific networking platform by building a comprehensive database of life science infrastructure that can serve as a foundation on top of which researchers can create their professional profiles and use innovative features to access information, share resources, connect and communicate. We believe that fast and reliable access to scientific information is the key to a continuous and successful evolution of life sciences.

Our other projects include Scientific Today (scientific.today) and Science HR (science.hr).

Life Science Network gGmbH was founded in 2011 by Alen Piljic, Aleksander Benjak and Vibor Laketa. All three founders hold a joint European Molecular Biology Laboratory / University of Heidelberg PhD degree in life sciences. The enterprise is based in Heidelberg, Germany. During early development, we collaborated closely with Studio Revolucija, a company specialised in design and programming of dynamic websites and internet applications from Zagreb, Croatia and Aljosa Mohorovic.
