On July 16, 2025, armed militia attacked Suweida National Hospital in southern Syria, resulting in devastating casualties. Although still being investigated, reports indicate that the casualties include medical personnel and bedridden patients.1,2 In a country depleted by years of conflict, the scene was familiar: hospitals attacked, blame traded, and the victims remain the same—patients and health-care workers.
